1925

In 1925, after nearly 15 years, a complete population census was again conducted in all territories that belonged to the Empire at the time. Deutschland had 62.4 million inhabitants then. The Empire and the Länder together conducted a combined census of the population, occupation and non-agricultural local units. The term “resident population” was used for the first time in the census of 1925.
