The 1933 Population Census

1933

The economic crisis made it impossible to return to the five-year cycle as had been intended after the 1925 Census. It took eight years until the next census was held on 16 June 1933; that was the first population census after the National Socialists’ assumption of power. 65.2 million people were counted at the time.
